Three teenagers were charged Sunday after allegedly robbing a victim with a stolen gun.
According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers responded to a reported armed robbery in the area of Newton Avenue and Stowe Street early Sunday morning at approximately 3:30. The investigation revealed that the victim was walking home from a friend's house when a 17-year-old female, 16-year-old male and 15-year-old male approached the victim in the middle of the street. The female allegedly threatened the victim with a pistol, police said.
After allegedly stealing the victim's property, the suspects fled the scene and were eventually located by police.
As an officer approached them, one of the suspects put down a pistol which police determined was stolen by the suspects earlier in the night.
All three suspects were transported to the Jamestown Police Department.
The female was charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree menacing, fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
The 16-year-old male was charged with first-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of stolen property.
The 15-year-old male will be petitioned to a family court.
