Frederick J. Morton, 79, of 366 Sandberg Road, Frewsburg, N.Y., passed away on Nov. 12, 2013, following a lengthy illness.Mr. Morton decided that he would donate his body to science at the University of Buffalo.
Frederick was born in London, England, on Sept. 5, 1934.
In earlier years, Frederick worked as a crane operator. He also was a gymnastic equipment specialist. He served in the Royal Navy for many years, as a deep sea diver and a paratrooper.

He loved fishing, and was an avid coin collector.
Frederick is survived by his wife, Rose, who resides in Frewsburg; two daughters: Tina (Michael) Parker and Carol (Mark) Messer and two sons: Raymond and Alex, all of Bexley, Kent, England; two stepsons: Lance (Lisa) Murphy of Frewsburg, and Wesley Murphy of Falconer; two stepdaughters: Tracy Jones of Jamestown, and Misty Nordine of Dunkirk.
He enjoyed spending time with his many grand and great-grandchildren, especially the long talks with his granddaughter, Beth Levy and her husband Fred, and with his grandson, Ryan Nordine. He also enjoyed sorting through coins with his great-grandsons Collin and Mateo. He was especially close with his one-year-old greatgrandchildren: Khloe and Xander.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
