Lakewood Memorial Auxiliary Post 1286 held the Auxiliary Yard and Bake Sale in August to help Hospice Chautauqua County support their mission.
Lisa Hanselman and Jacquie Blackwood with the support from the Auxiliary chose Hospice because not only did they want to keep the money local, but also knowing Hospice supports Chautauqua County and keeps their funding local. The Auxiliary was able to raise $266 for Hospice.
"Hospice does great things for the community," Hanselman said. "We know a lot of people who have benefited from their staff and support and made their end of life a little easier on everyone. Our auxiliary does this yard and bake sale each year to support our community. Our auxiliary has more than 200 members, and most of them volunteer to help. The local police department also helps us by making sure the sale items are protected during the evening. Everyone comes together for a great cause for our community."
Ron Sellers, Hospice CEO and president, and Lisa Hanselman, Auxiliary president.
