Anthony Thomas Maisto, born Oct. 4, 1922, passed Nov. 7, 2013, at his home in Denver, Colo.
Tony was born in Jamestown, N.Y., to immigrant parents from Gaeta, Italy.
He was one of eight brothers and sisters.

Tony met his wife, Fernanda Vistarini, while stationed in Rome, Italy, with the Fifth Army division during World War II. In 1945 they were married in the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, Rome, Italy.
The couple relocated to Denver, Colo., in 1946. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in accounting from Denver University.
Tony was regional vice president for Transamerica Title Insurance Company. He worked in title insurance for more than 40 years in Denver.
Tony enjoyed sports and was an avid reader of a variety of genres including mysteries, history and biography.
In retirement he enjoyed volunteering at Denver University's Penrose Library. He was also a member of the Friends of Brooks Memorial Library, Brattleboro, Vt.
He is survived by his two daughters: Karen Maisto Folger (Paul) of Ft. Collins, Colo., and Kathy Maisto (Jerry Carbone) of Brattleboro, Vt.; and family living in Colorado, Florida, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, North Carolina and California.
Tony lived a life of integrity, humor and elegance. He will be dearly missed.
