Frances G. Baglia, 96, formerly of 40 Sturges St., Jamestown, passed away at Heritage Park Rehab and Skilled Nursing Facility on Friday, Nov. 8, 2013.
She was born on Aug. 27, 1917, in Jamestown, N.Y., the daughter of the late Joseph and Angeline Augustino Vitanza Sr.
Surviving are her two sons: Dr. Joseph (Nancy) Baglia and Christy (Terry) Baglia Jr. of Jamestown; eight grandchildren: Mark M. (Jennifer) Baglia, Joseph (Karen) Baglia Jr., Chris J. Baglia, Christine (Tom) Wayland, Scott (Lexy) Baglia, Christy (Sharron) Baglia III, Gina (Matt) Bloomquist and Alissa (Craig) Robbins; 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson; a sister, Angeline Bellomo of Jamestown; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Christy Baglia Sr., whom she married on April 23, 1938, and who died Aug. 20, 1994; and four brothers: Carl, John, Tom and Joseph Jr.
She was a quiet, loving person who was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and mother-in-law. She always enjoyed having her family around her. She will be greatly missed by all.
The funeral will be held on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Migliore Funeral Home. The Rev. Dennis W. Mende, pastor of Holy Apostles Parish, will officiate. Entombment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends today (Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013) in the funeral home and one hour prior to service on Monday.
