Tickets are now on sale for The Nutcracker which will be presented by the Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet on Dec. 13-14 at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts. The production, under the artistic direction of Monika Alch, is the region's sole professional-quality production of everyone's holiday favorite. The timeless story of young Clara who is given the gift of a magical Nutcracker offers the excitement of a midnight battle between the Nutcracker and the Rat King, a growing Christmas Tree with more than 1,000 sparkling lights, falling snow on stage and the beautiful music of Tchaikovsky.
The performances are scheduled for Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday afternoon, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Reg Lenna Center for the Arts in Jamestown.Tickets prices are Loge - $25, adults - $20, students, seniors - $18, children - $12. Seating is reserved and tickets are now on sale and available at the Reg Lenna Box Office at 484-7070 or online on the Reg Lenna website.
Some of this year's performers will include Grace McMillan as Clara, Maya Swanson as the School Show Clara, and Shawn Sprankle as the Nutcracker Prince. Jordan Spencer will portray Herr Drosselmeyer and the Sugar Plum Fairy and Snow Queen will be performed by CRYB advanced students Madeline Jones and Lydia Everett.

Approximately 60 other cast members including both CRYB students and community members will round out the cast.
In addition to the public performances, CRYB will also present a performance for area schools on Friday morning, Dec. 13 at 10 a.m. Schools interested in attending should contact the Reg Lenna Box Office.
