CLEARFIELD, Pa. - The Jamestown YMCA Masters swim team posted impressive results at the Clearfield meet last Sunday, winning 21 races on the day.
Kelly Bates went undefeated in the 40-44 age group, winning first place in the 50, 100, and 500 freestyle races, as well in the 25 butterfly.
In the 50-55 division Jamestown was also undefeated thanks to swimming from Karen Williams. Williams followed Bates with victories in all three freestyle races, as well as the 25 butterfly.
David Young competed in the 60-64 division and brought home first place in the 200 individual medley, two second-place finishes in the 25 and 200 backstroke, as well as fourth in the 500 freestyle.
Tom Mann swam for Jamestown in the 65-69 class and took home victories in all of his races. Mann placed first in the 25 backstroke, 25 fly, 50 breaststroke, as well as the 500 free.
Bill Radack competed in 75-79 and brought home all first-place finishes as well, including the 25 back, 50 breaststroke, 100 breaststroke, and 100 free.
Judy Young rounded out the lineup for Jamestown in the 85-89 age group and dominated all four of her races. Young finished first in the 25 back, 50 free, 100 free, and 200 back.
The next meet for the YMCA Masters will be Jan. 5 at Grove City, Pa.
