JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Trevor M. Spetz, 26, of Jamestown, was charged Tuesday of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. During a traffic stop on the south side of the city, Jamestown Police Department located a switchblade knife in Spetz's vehicle. Spetz also had a suspended driver's license, police said. Spetz was charged and transported to the city.
Julia E. Madigan, 20, was involved in a motor vehicle accident Saturday. At approximately 10:20 p.m., Madigan, who was traveling southbound on Cobham Park Road, struck a deer while negotiating a right curve. The collision caused Madigan's vehicle to leave the roadway and enter a ditch along the southbend shoulder. The vehicle eventually struck an embankment, causing it to perform a complete 360-degree spinout across both lanes of travel. The vehicle struck a guide rail located along the northbound shoulder with its rear bumper, police said. Madigan sustained minor injuries.
