LAKEWOOD - The Lakewood Memorial Library will be holding its 2013 fall book sale Thursday through Saturday.
"We'll have books - we have fiction and non-fiction books," said Mary Miller, the director of the Lakewood Memorial Library. "We have lots of paperback. We have magazines. We have DVDs. A lot of people donated tapes ... and we still have some of those."
The cost for the books and media being sold will be: hardcover books at $1 each, paperbacks at 50 cents each or three for $1, magazines at 10 cents each, children's books at 50 cents each or three for $1, videos and books on tape at 50 cents each or three for $1, and DVDs and music CDs are $1 each. The Bag Sale Day where a shopping bag can be filled with books of choice for $2 will take place Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"It just depends on what people have given us," said Miller. "We have cookbooks; cookbooks are pretty popular. We are going to have a lot of fiction this time, and we have a lot of books not being used in the library, so they will be for sale."
The book sale will be in the Heritage Gallery of the library. There is also a room which sells books all year round in the far right corner.
The sale will take place during regular library hours: Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is located on 12 W. Summit St. in Lakewood.
