B. Lorraine (Richner) Smith, 87, of 2138 Hickory Lane, Orange Park, Fla., a follower of Jesus Christ, passed away peacefully Friday, Oct. 11, 2013, at 11:35 a.m. in the Kindred Hospital, Green Cove, Fla.
She was born the eldest of five children on May 16, 1926, in Elco, Pa., to Ralph and Tornada (Roberts) Harrison.
She graduated from Port Allegany High School.
She is survived by her husband Will Smith, whom she married on Dec. 26, 1982. She is also survived by a brother, Ralph J. (Kaye) Harrison of Roulette, Pa.; three sons: David L. (Shirley) Richner of St. Johns, Fla., C. William (Nancy) Richner of North Tonawanda, N.Y., and Michael R. (Linda) Richner of Bemus Point, N.Y.; six grandchildren: Christie Larkin of Dallas, Texas, Stacy Manthos of St. Johns, Fla., Jon and Brett Richner of North Tonawanda, N.Y., Marissa Rogenthien of Painesville, Ohio, and Aaron Richner of Cassadaga, N.Y.; 14 greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: M. Olive Glase and Virginia Wolfe, and a brother, James W. Harrison.
For years she was employed as a cook at the Starlight Restaurant at the corner of Dutch Hollow Road and Route 430. She later worked as a cook for the Bemus Point school system and Murray Middle School in Port Salerno, Fla.
She was very active in her church, the Wesconnett Assembly of God in Jacksonville, Fla.
