A Jamestown man has been taken into custody after an investigation into the physical injury of a 1 year old.
On Oct. 24, Michael C. Olay, 35, was taken into custody after a Jamestown Police Department investigation revealed that Olay allegedly caused physical injury to a 1-year-old child left into his care and a warrant was issued for his arrest. The incident allegedly occurred at a residence in the city of Jamestown on Oct. 13.
Olay has been charged with second-degree felony assualt and endangering the welfare of a child. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail after being arraigned. Child Protective Services assisted the Jamestown Police Department's investigation.
Olay has been connected to another recent alleged crime. In August, Olay was charged with two counts of petit larceny after it was alleged he left Wal-Mart with $110.84 worth of merchandise without paying. In July, police learned Olay allegedly exited Wal-Mart with a mountain bike without paying. He was issued an appearance ticket to be in Busti Court at a later date.
