Teresea Lynn Abbey Soltis, 54, of 47 Boardman St., Wrightsville, passed away peacefully, Saturday Oct. 26, 2013, at her residence, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born Oct. 23, 1959, in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late William Bailey and Shirley (Raynor) King and her husband John, who survive her of Dunkirk, N.Y. Teresea was a graduate of Cassadaga High School and worked for 23 years as the head cook at Chautauqua Opportunities Inc. She enjoyed gardening, woodworking and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother and step father, she is survived by her loving husband George Soltis, whom she married March 19, 2010, in Youngsville; three children: Stephen Nuse of Carmi, Ill., Joshua Nuse of Warren, and Nathanial Abbey of Jamestown; three step children: James Soltis of Warren, Jessica Hunt of Lakewood, and Timothy Fink of Wrightsville; five siblings: Richard Bailey of Jamestown, Sheryl Bailey and Debra Snow, both of Forestville, N.Y., Patricia Bailey of Westfield, .N.Y. and Charles Bailey of Fredonia, N.Y.; five grandchildren, six step grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Stella, and two cats, Sid and Jerry.
Friends will be received at the Nelson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 314 N. Main St. in Youngsville, on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there with the Rev. Mark Fischer, pastor of the Saron Lutheran Church in Youngsville, officiating. Burial will follow in the Wrightsville Cemetery.
