K. James Nicholson, 82, of Pleasant Township, passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013, at Warren General Hospital after battling with oral cancer.
Mr. Nicholson was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Warren, Pa., the son of the late Leonard M. and Marjorie L. (Christensen) Nicholson.
Jim served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed as a Prudential Insurance agent in the Warren area for many years. He previously drove ambulance in North Warren. Jim was a member of the Eagles Club, American Legion, Moose Club, Elks Club, the Swiss Viking Club, the Clarendon Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Steele Nicholson, whom he married Nov. 17, 2007; two sons: Donald J. Nicholson and Richard G. Nicholson, both of California; three stepsons, William Pfendler of Leeper, Pa., Bradley Pfendler of Pittsburgh, Pa., and Brian Pfendler of Marienville, Pa.; one stepdaughter, Amy Muscaro of Warren, Pa., and her children: Jessica and Kristen; one brother, Robert Nicholson of North Carolina; one sister, Marjorie Kirk of Butler, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his second wife, Anna E. Nicholson; and one brother, John "Jack" Nicholson.
Friends will be received on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 1-3 p.m. at Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc, 1003 Pennsylvania Ave., E., Warren, Pa. A service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Care Center at Warren General, 2 Crescent Park West, Warren, PA 16365 or the American Legion.
