KENNEDY - Joseph M. Flood, 74, of Blue Jay Street, Kennedy, died Wednesday (Oct. 23, 2013), at his home, following a battle with leukemia.
He was born March 16, 1939, in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of John and Mary Meehan Flood.
Joe had been employed in the radiology department at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn for many years and later at the former Dahlstrom Manufacturing Co. and Atlas.
He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He was a huge Yankees fan and enjoyed football, gardening, horse racing, going to the casino, bowling, and his cats.
Joe is survived by his wife, Terry Greenland Flood, whom he married July 7, 1981, in Brooklyn; a sister, Kathleen O'brien of Brooklyn; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
No visitation or services will be observed as per Joe's request.
