Douglas D. Langworthy, 79, of 110 Church St., Jamestown, died at 3:20 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 19, 2013), in the WCA Hospital.
He was born in Jamestown on Feb. 28, 1934, the son of William and Irene Abers Langworthy.
Doug was employed as a precision machine operator at SKF for 38 years. He was previously employed at Lake View Cemetery and Jamestown Burial Vault.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-58, and was a member of the American Legion Herman Kent Post 777.
He is survived by two sons: Scott Langworthy, Tokyo, Japan, and Randy Langworthy, Jamestown; two daughters: Linda (Roger) Steinruck, Palm Harbor, Fla., and Kelly Webber, Jamestown; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Belcher Langworthy, whom he married on March 12, 1955, in Jamestown, and who died on Dec. 5, 2009; an infant son, Brian Langworthy; and two brothers: Raymond and William Langworthy.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday in the Hubert Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
The Rev. Frank Snyder, ordained independent minister, will officiate.
Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
