LARGO, Fla. - Mildred E. Cobbe Albro Mower, 95, passed away peacefully the morning of Oct. 7, 2013, at Sabal Palms in Largo, Fla.
She was born in Jamestown, N.Y., on June 14, 1918, the daughter of Robert Eakin Cobbe and Lillian Pearl Burrows.
Mildred was known as "Millie" and "Vi" to many. All remember her beautiful smile, and will miss her and it very much.
She was a loving mother to her five children: Jimmy, Stan, Marcia, Ruthie and Patty.
After visiting Florida many years ago, she fell in love with it and soon returned to make it her home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard F. Albro Jr. of Jamestown, N.Y., who died Feb. 2, 2000; two sisters: Marianne Pearl Cobbe Sneed Carter of Ashdown, Ark., who died Sept. 7, 1995 and Laura Elizabeth Cobbe Roe of Salt Lake City, Utah, who died Dec. 9, 2008; and one grandson, Stanley R. (Robbie) Albro II, who died June 24, 2013, in St. Petersburg, Fla.
She is survived by one brother, Walter S. Cobbe of Jamestown, N.Y.; and her five children: James H. Albro (Deb) Middleburg, Fla., Stanley R. Albro (Robin) Clearwater, Fla., Ruth E. Albro, Brooktondale, N.Y., Marcia M. Mathison (Tim) Dunedin, Fla., and Patricia A. Albro, Candor, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren; 27 greatgrandchildren and six greatgreatgrandchildren.
A memorial service in will be Sunday, Oct, 27, 2013, at 2:30 p.m. at the Endwell Church of Christ, 3600 Country Club Road, Endwell, N.Y.
There will be a memorial service on Nov. 9, 2013, at 2 p.m., at Central Church of Christ, 1454 Belleair Road, Clearwater, Fla..
Mom's ashes will be interred in the Chapel Courtyard at Memorial Park in St. Petersburg, Fla.
Mom, Millie, you will be greatly missed, but we know that you are with your Lord and family now.
