Jamestown Bowling Company will play host to the 35th New York State Open Senior Championships on Oct. 19-20 and again on Oct 26-27.
The event, which features competition in doubles and singles, is open to all men and women who are USBC members and are at least 50 years old.
Bowlers may compete in both doubles and singles, singles only and doubles only. Squad times will be held at 11:30 a.m., 1:15 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4:45 p.m. each day.
The entry fees are $25 per person per event and $6 for the 6-game combine. One in five entries will cash and the handicap will be based on 90 percent of 220 with bowlers using their highest USBC certified average from 2011-12 or 2012-13.
Participants will compete only against those in their age classification - 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74 and 75 and over. Six-game combine championships in each age group will be eligible to represent New York State in the USBC National Senior Championships in July 2014 in Reno, Nev.
