The town of Poland Senior Citizens will meet for a potluck lunch and Halloween celebration on Wednesday. Costumes are optional. Members attending should take a dish to pass, their table service and a hobby for display. Bob and Donna Cross, Ray and Barb Wiltsie are the committee. All seniors are welcome to attend. Payment for the November Thanksgiving catered dinner meeting is due. The cost is $8 for members; $10, non-members.
Forty-eight members and one guest attended a recent meeting held in the Kennedy Fire Hall. Bonnie Piazza, RoseMarie Cornell and Sandy Jones were the committee. Val Nunn led table grace and Bob Cross called tables. Ms. Cross, president, opened the meeting with a flag salute and song, accompanied by Lou Ball on piano.
Reports by the secretary and treasurer were approved as read.
Correspondence included a thank you from the Kennedy First United Methodist Church mission for donations made to the food cupboard.
Birthdays were celebrated by Mary Hilliman, Beverly Wilson, Mary Walker and Jeanette Olson. Val Nunn and Linda Hilliman observed wedding anniversaries.
Discussion was on the October bus trip, the cruise on the Summer Wind and the catered Thanksgiving dinner in November.
