Lois B. Taylor, 85, formerly of 165 Aldren Ave., Jamestown and 1643 Lindquist Drive, Falconer, passed away Friday (Oct. 11, 2013) in the Lutheran Home and Rehab Center.
She was the widow of Harold W. "Harry" Taylor whom she married Oct. 14, 1949, in the family home in Levant, who died May 28, 2000.
Lois was born Nov. 28, 1927, in Findley Lake, N.Y., and was the daughter of the late Erving and Alyce Shures Bastian.

She was a 1945 graduate of Falconer High School and attended New York State Tech of Applied Arts & Science. Prior to retirement Lois was employed by Dr. Anthony Dispenza.
Lois was a member of the Clarks Corners Community Church, Red Hat Club and had volunteered in the Palliative Care Unit at WCA Hospital.
She is survived by a son Dr. Charles Taylor and daughter-in-law Dr. Pamela Taylor, both of Kenner, La.; a sister, Joan Smith of Frewsburg; and four sisters-in-law: Alice Bastian of Falconer, Susan Bastian of Jamestown, Ethel Bastian of Frewsburg and Mary Bastian of Grants Pass, Ore.
Besides her husband she was preceded in death by nine brothers: Clyde, Gordon, Robert, Ernest, Earl, Lloyd, Lawrence, Lyle and Harold Bastian; and a sister Margaret Bastian.
The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Dan Rumfelt, chaplain of the Lutheran Home, will officiate. Burial will be in Kennedy Riverside Cemetery.
Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
