ELLICOTTVILLE - Randolph's Matt Born had a game to remember as he scored all of the Cardinals' goals in a 4-1 victory over Ellicottville, which clinched the East Division boys soccer championship on Friday.
Born opened the scoring at 2:30 with his first goal, assisted by Zach Jackson, then added his second of the game, unassisted, at the 22-minute mark.
The Eagles (6-6, 7-6), cut the lead to 2-1 when, at 34 minutes, Matt Didonato scored, assisted by Conner Greene, but Born completed the hat trick at 58 minutes with Jackson assisting again.
Born wrapped up his scoring frenzy in the second half as Jackson Andrews assisted at 67 minutes.
For Randolph (11-0, 12-0-2), Nick Carpenter earned the win in goal with four saves.
FALCONS TIE FREDONIA
FREDONIA - Falconer and Fredonia battled to a 1-1 double overtime deadlock.
Fredonia scored first on a penalty kick in the first half.
Drew Beckerink tied it in the second half for Falconer on a free kick from 28 yards out.
SMITH LEADS WAY
FREWSBURG - Derek Smith was the offensive leader for Frewsburg as the Bears (9-0-1, 10-1-1) topped Cassadaga Valley, 3-1,, knocking in a pair of goals in the victory.
Jordan Lyon got things going for Frewsburg at 16:26 with a goal, assisted by Jordan Dilts, followed by a goal from Smith with just a minute left in the first half. Nyle Bird got the assist.
In the second half, the Cougars trimmed the lead when Reece Bly scored at 10 minutes with an assist from Kyle Ruge, but Smith made it 3-1 when he found the net again at 21:38 with Lyon getting the assist.
Justin Randall was the winning goalkeeper with four saves.
For the Cougars (2-9-0, 2-12-0), Dan Anderson had eight saves.

RAIDERS SHUT OUT
Clarence paid a visit to Jamestown went home with a 9-0 victory.
Patrick Schultz produced a hat trick and Taylor Helms had a pair of goals to lead the winners while goalie Mike Biedny had three saves.
Sharing time in goal for Jamestown were Liam Kulakowski and Zach Schupp.
