The employees of Independent Health recently donated $1,200 to help the Jamestown Lions Club with its activities that benefit vision- and hearing-impaired individuals in the greater Jamestown community. A dress-down day was coordinated by Jim Kress, account manager at Independent Health, a Jamestown resident and Jamestown Lions Club board member. Employees contributed $2 each for the privilege of dressing down for work. The year-round, employee-driven program at Independent Health is voluntary and has resulted in substantial support for numerous charitable organizations.
The Jamestown Lions Club, which recently celebrated its 90th anniversary, assists the community and works to create awareness for those that are in need of its services.
