Medical treatment wasn't the only thing a Jamestown man wanted to receive when he visited WCA Hospital on Tuesday night.
Jamestown Police say Michael J. Pollaro, 28, of Foote Avenue, was receiving treatment at the Emergency Room at 11:43 p.m. when he allegedly attempted to steal a television. Pollaro attempted to take a 24-inch flat-screen LED television by breaking the wall mount on which the TV sat and then stuffing the television in his pants.
According to police, a nurse noticed Pollaro trying to leave the hospital with the TV and stopped him. Pollaro then removed the TV from his pants and fled the scene before officers.
Pollaro was later located and taken into custody. He was charged with attempted petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal tampering and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and held pending arraignment.
