Marie A. (Nanny) Eimers Perkins, 82, of Ripley, died peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at UPMC Hamot surrounded by her family while listening to Conway Twitty and Pigtail Willie.
She was born Aug. 8, 1931, in Ripley to the late Charles and Ethel Burch Eimers.
Marie was born and raised in Ripley, graduated from Ripley High School and she was No. 9 of 13 children.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, bird watching, playing piano, country music, gardening, politics, and was a New York Yankees fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers: Jim and Jake Eimers.
Marie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ross L. Perkins, whom she married June 5, 1970; daughter Terri (Brian) Fuller and son James (Gale) Maus, both of Ripley, N.Y.; a sister, Lois (Howard) Paulson; grand children: Paul (Tina) Perkins, Mark (Jeannie) Perkins, Heather (Brian) Chess, Gretchen Tefft and Megan (Patrick) Bulger, Kara Fuller and Kaitlyn Fuller; nine greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral arrangements are under the care of the William D. Elkin Funeral Home, 65 S. Lake St., North East, Pa.
