EAST RANDOLPH - Marcia A. Town, 79, of Main Street, East Ran-dolph, passed away Thursday (Sept. 24, 2013), in the Emergency Room at WCA Hospital.
She was born Dec. 5, 1933, in Jamestown, daughter of the late Freder-ick and Alvera Tulen Fornell.
Marcia was a 1951 graduate of Chautauqua High School. For nearly 40 years she worked for the Joe Mitchell Accounting Firm in Jamestown. She was a member of the Legal Secretariess Club in Jamestown, Thule Lodge, and the Vikings Club in Jamestown, where she was the former treasurer. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Harold W. Town, whom she married Oct. 24, 1952, in Ashville, N.Y.; two children: Kurt W. Town, and Susan Scarantino and husband Ross, all of East Ran-dolph; three grandchildren: Nathan Roseman of James-town, Tori Scarantino of East Randolph and Kasey Town of Greenhurst; a niece, Amy Fisher of Flori-da; a sister, Donna Newhouse of Cape Coral, Fla.; and her ex-daughter-in-law; Julie Town, with whom she had a special relationship.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, in the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph, where a memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. The Rev.
