DUNKIRK - Neither team was able to manage a goal during the overtime period, which resulted in a 1-1 draw between Chautauqua Lake and Fredonia in West Division boys soccer on Monday.
Fredonia got on the board first at the 30:32-minute mark as Bryce Gifford scored the opening goal off of an assist by Matthew Civillette.
One minute later, Chautauqua Lake drew even on a penalty kick by Zach Weatherlow.
Fredonia was unable to come away with a victory despite holding a commanding 29-4 advantage in shots on goal. They also led the corner kick advantage 15-1.
James Latimer made 21 saves for Chautauqua Lake, most of which were right to his chest. Fredonia just could not find a way to challenge the Thunderbird goaltender.
Fredonia's Morghan Thompson made four saves in the draw.
