SINCLAIRVILLE - Cassadaga Valley started the week on a high note, posting its first victory of the season as the Cougars shut out Cattaraugus-Little Valley, 4-0, in Central Division boys soccer Monday.
It was also the first game for freshman goalie Dan Anderson, who earned the victory making 17 saves.
Offensively, Jaroslav Hudecek scored the first goal for the Cougars, assisted by Kyle Ruge, with 37:54 left in the first half.

From that point on, Ruge came alive, scoring the next three goals for the hat trick, with his first coming unassisted with 28:54 remaining. He added another tally about two minutes later, also unassisted, and delivered his third with 6:59 left in the second half as Hunter Thorpe assisted.
For the Timberwolves, Dylan Rhinehart collected 16 saves.
ANNIS LOCKS UP WIN
FREWSBURG -Jacob Annis scored off a direct kick with two minutes left in overtime to give Frewsburg (5-1-1), 4-0-1) a 2-1 win over North Collins.
North Collins scored four minutes into the second half, but Jacob Lyon tied the game on a goal assisted by Annis with at the 15:49 mark.
Justin Randall had 10 saves in the Bears' goal.
