The charter of Ross Grange was draped in memory of Alice Barmore at their Sept. 9 meeting. Committee to write a resolution of respect is Vera Jones, Opal Sprague and Leona Peterson.
Scholarship applications have been received from the Community Foundation.
The committee of Mary Jane Griffith, Elaine Melquist and Betty Wakefield will review them and give their recommendations to be finalized by a committee from the Community Foundation. Ross Grange will give three scholarships this year.
Pomona Notes were read including a possible by-laws change regarding meetings.
State and National Grange are sponsoring a special meeting for Granges in Western New York Saturday in Freedom. Attending from Ross will be President Robert Goodwin, Vice President, Opal Sprague and Lecturer Betty Wakefield.
Program at the next meeting, Monday, will be a presentation by O Winston and Valerie Bartholomew of their recent trip to Hawaii. This was in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
The meeting will be preceded by a tureen supper at 6:30 p.m. at the Falcon's Nest Banquet Hall.
