SANBORN - Jamestown Community College recorded a 2-1 record in NJCAA Region 3, Division III women's volleyball action at Niagara County CC on Saturday.
The Jayhawks, increasing their overall record to 10-3 with a 3-1 region record, opened with a 28-26, 25-8, 25-11 victory over Fulton-Montgomery.
Mandy Finch had four aces, two kills, 26 digs and a block; Christina Rauh an ace, nine assists, six kills, four digs, and a block; Michelle Bach 10 kills and three blocks; and Shannon Gunnell two aces, seven kills, seven digs and four blocks in the win.
Then, JCC took care of Mohawk Valley CC, 25-11, 25-17, 25-16, with Gunnell having four aces, eight kills, seven digs and two blocks and Rauh having two aces, 10 assists, two kills and nine digs.
Also for JCC, Bach had six kills, a dig and a block; Taylor Satalino six aces and 14 digs; and Kayleanne Chase two kills, two digs and four blocks.
JCC was tied with Herkimer CC after two games, 22-25, and 25-21, but the latter posted victories of 25-18 and 25-17 to gain the decision.
Rauh delivered two aces, nine assists, six kills and five digs; Gunnell 11 kills, 15 digs, two blocks; Bach seven kills, a dig, nine blocks; and Chase two kills and nine blocks for JCC.
The Jayhawks return to action when they invade Genesee CC at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
