The Tanglewood Group will offer a presentation for caregivers Sept. 19 hosted by Comfort Today in Nicholas Ferreri Memorial Park.
"Strategies for Managing Behaviors and Communicating with a Person with Alzheimer's" will be presented by Eileen Poiley, the director of education at the USF Health Byrd Alzheimer's Institute in Tampa, Fla.
Poiley, who has been on the faculty of the University of South Florida since 1987 specializing in Alzheimer's, directs the institute's education and training activities for caregivers, health care professionals and the community. She lectures on a variety of topics pertaining to Alzheimer's disease and caregiver issues at caregiver seminars, health care facilities, support groups and continuing education workshops. Poiley leads several support groups and is a certified trainer on Alzheimer's disease for the state of Florida Department of Elder Affairs.

The USF Health Byrd Alzheimer's Institute is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to Alzheimer's disease located on the campus of the University of South Florida.
