Edward W. Foster Jr., 60, of Falconer, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (Aug. 29, 2013), in the WCA Hospital emergency room.
A lifelong area resident, he was born Jan. 2, 1953, in Jamestown, the son of Edward W. Foster Sr. and Alice Hitchcock Chapman.
He attended Cassadaga Valley High School, and was employed by the Falconer Plate Glass and H & D Well Services. Ed was a member of the NRA, and enjoyed helping family members, racing and hunting and fishing with his loyal dog, Webber.

Surviving are two sons: Scott W. (Katherine) Foster of Falconer, and Michael O. Foster of Kennedy; two grandchildren: Desaree R. Foster of Ohio, and Joshua S. Foster of Falconer; his mother, Alice Chapman of Jamestown; his ex-wife, Darlene J. Foster of Kennedy; two brothers: Edwin Hitchcock of Falconer, and Richard Foster of Kennedy; four sisters: Cheryl McLane of Bradford, Vera McLane of Jamestown, Elizabeth Hillerby of Falconer, and-Marsha Ramos of Jamestown.
He was preceded in death by a son, Jamie O. Foster in 1973; his father, Edward W. Foster Sr.; three sisters: Ruth Pellerino, Donna Foster and Verna McLane; and a brother, Donald W. Foster.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2013, in Panama Union Cemetery, Panama. The Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, in the Falconer Funeral Home.
