The Winifred Crawford Dibert Boys & Girls Club of Jamestown will begin new adult class sessions in September.
The next session of Adult Learn-To-Swim Classes will meet Mondays starting Sept. 9 and ending Nov. 4. There are no classes on Columbus Day, Oct. 14. The non-swimmer/beginner class is at 10 a.m. and the advanced beginner class is at 10:45 a.m.
The Adult Water Aerobics/Arthritis Swim Classes will begin Wednesday, Sept. 11, and end Friday, Oct. 18. The six-week sessions are held Wednesday and Friday each week. Water aerobics are from 1 to 1:50 p.m. Water aerobics do not need advanced swimming skills for participation. Arthritis swim is from 2 to 2:50 p.m. and is a light, low-impact water exercise program to help improve flexibility and range of motion.
The cost is $25 for members and $50 for non-members for each program. Adult memberships may be purchased for six months at a cost of $50, or $40 for those ages 55 and older, or for a year at a cost of $85 or $70 for those ages 55 and older. The Boys and Girls Club now accepts Univera & Independent Health.
