CHAUTAUQUA - Shelly Grant has been well-known for playing consistent golf throughout his long career and that approach brought him yet another title as he put together rounds of 77 and 76 for a 153 total, earning him the men's club championship at Chautauqua Golf Club on Sunday.
Grant's 77 tied him with Jack McCauley after the first day of the event, but McCauley fired a 79 in the final round for 156, tying him with Joe Johnson, who fired 80-76-156.
Dale West was fourth with 81-79-160 and Daniel Farrell took fifth with 80-82-162.
As for the ladies club championship, Colleen Reeve's final round proved to be the key as she shot a 78 to follow her opening round 84 for a 162 total, giving her the crown by seven shots.
Lisa Payne was second with 84-85-169 and Gail Nolan took third with 84-93-177.
