Ring Precision Components started a partnership with Maple Grove High School in May through the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and Dream It Do It.
Dream It Do It introduces high school students to the opportunities of manufacturing in the Chautauqua County area. The program started with nine students - Nicholas Bowers, Peter Cala, Richard DuBois, Dan Ernst, Colin Green, Chris Jones, Jim Kistner, Alexis Smith and Lee Wascher.
The students were introduced to each department with concentration on areas with the most interest: engineering and production. The students visited Ring Precision with their technology teachers, Marcus Clark and Matt Hanley, for three, two-hour visits.

Two of the nine students fulfilled summer internships at Ring Precision - Richard DuBois and Nicholas Bowers. Richard and Nick filled multiple roles in the engineering, quality and production areas. According to Ring Precision staff, both of these young men have been a great addition to the Ring Precision team this summer, showing a promising future in a variety of fields in manufacturing. Both students will be going on to further their education at JCC this fall.
