August 20, 2013
The Post-Journal

Firefighters hailing from all ends of the county gathered at Jordan Funeral Home in Sinclairville on Monday to pay their final respects to Carl L. Fransen, former Gerry Volunteer Fire Department chief. Fransen, 35, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Firefighters assembled with their companies in groups of five to offer Fransen a slow salute. Those who would like to offer a contribution as a memorial may do so to the Gerry Volunteer Fire Department or Hospice Chautauqua County.
