Two people were taken into custody following an early morning drug bust Friday in Jamestown.
Jamestown Police executed a search warrant for the upper apartment at 114 Water St. and charged 27-year-old Ryan J. Stills of Buffalo and 27-year-old Vanessa M. Buck of Jamestown with multiple offenses.
A several months-long investigation into the sales and trafficking of crack cocaine led the New York State Police Community Narcotics Team and Jamestown Police Department to the location.
Once there, the Jamestown SWAT team made entry into the home and located the two adults. Two 7-year-old children and an 8-year-old were also found to be present inside the apartment. Investigators then located a large quantity of crack cocaine and cash inside the residence.
"Everybody was asleep throughout the entire apartment when we arrived," said JPD Captain Robert Samuelson. "Most of the drugs and money were near Mr. Stills."
Stills is being charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Buck is being charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Both subjects are awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Jail.
The children were turned over to a family member.
The investigation is continuing and more charges are expected.
