STOW - The last meeting of the North Harmony Senior Citizens was held on July 15 at the Club Center in Stow. Without having any entertainment this month, President Ferry conducted a short meeting after pot luck specials were served for dinner. The hosts for the dinner were June Sieburg, Myrtle Skiba and Jesse Syper. Bonnie Johnson provided the birthday cake.
Birthday wishes were given to Mary Cunningham and Franklin Hanson. Wedding anniversaries were noted for Steve and Loretta Saulsgiver and Leo and Ritz Lescynski.
At the business meeting, President Ferry introduced a change to the bylaws to make the age for lifetime membership and no annual dues to 80 versus 85. It was passed without any discussion. He announced that the parking lot would be paved as soon as the weather permitted. More than half of the money had already been collected due to member donations and the garage sales that Steve and Loretta Saulsgiver conducted. Thanks of appreciation were expressed by all present.
The next meeting will be held on Aug. 19, at the Club Center. This month there will be a chicken barbecue. The cost will be $4 per person. Members are asked to bring a dish to pass. The hosts for the dinner will be Mary and Glen Pratt, Blanche Tracy, and Steve and Loretta Saulsgiver. The birthday cake will be provided by Mary Pratt.
