A husband was taken to WCA Hospital after being rear-ended by his wife in an accident Wednesday afternoon.
Police say a car was turning left at the intersection of North Main and Kingsbury streets at 1:21 p.m. A 2004 Toyota van driven by 51-year-old Susan Wielgosz of Brockport stopped behind the turning car while 37-year-old Joshua Whitford of Sinclairville stopped in his 2008 Chevy Impala behind the van. Amanda Whitford, 31, then rear-ended the Impala in her 2010 Dodge Charger and was later charged with following too closely.
Wielgosz complained of a head injury at the scene, but refused medical attention. None of the other five people in her van were injured. Joshua Whitford suffered back and neck injuries and was taken to WCA Hospital by ambulance while his wife, Amanda, and their 8-year-old son refused medical treatment.
