To The Reader's Forum:
Many thanks to everyone who attended the Lucille Ball Comedy Festival, including 57 percent from in-state and 43 percent from out-of-state with 24 states and five countries represented.
It's been a pleasure to receive a lot of positive feedback from the community, and of course some points of feedback on ways we can improve, as always. While any constructive feedback should come my way, the congratulations and kudos really need to be directed to the incredible Lucy Desi Center for Comedy team behind the scenes, the team not identified on stage.
If you see or know any of these people, join me in congratulating and thanking them for their hard work and service to this community:
Board of Directors (year-round): Cindy Aronson, Tom Benson, Michael Calimeri, Lou Deppas, Mike LaTone, George Panebianco and Bill Stevenson.
Staff, including year-round employees and tour guides: Susan Applegarth, Alyson Borowczyk, John Hitchcock, Chloe Kurashige, Malachi Livermore, Theresa Morris, Steve Neilans, Louise Ortman, Chuck Spinner, Cindy Thompson. Key event players: Joe Braeger, Crin Fredrickson, Debbie Gardner and Brittany Lewellen.
2013 Interns (incredible and ready-for-hire): Claudia Anderson, Natasha Arce, Sarah Kays, Ian Kellogg, Marissa Mauro, Allan Menzies, Maddie Moss and Dallas Thurn.
Long-term volunteers: Lucy Studd, John Bauer, Lloyd Faulkner and Shawn Murray.
This is the Lucy Desi Center for Comedy team. Please give them a round of applause.
While the full list of every volunteer, donor, sponsor and supporter is too long to list here, our sponsors are listed at LucyComedyFest.com, and the following are just some of the community partners who were helpful in making this event a success: Babes of Wrath, Blue Star Mothers, Boonies Film Fest of Warren, City of Jamestown, Distinguished Young Women of Lakewood, Fenton History Center/Joni Blackman, The Forum, Gateway Train Station/Lee Harkness, Infinity Visual & Performing Arts/Shane Hawkins, Jamestown Renaissance Corp, The Post-Journal, Reg Lenna Civic Center, Spire Theater, Suburban Blend Skate Park, Willow Bay Theater and WRFA-LP 107.9 Radio for the Arts.
Thank you. It's a privilege to be a part of this team.
Hope to see everyone Aug. 6-10, 2014.
