LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT
Betsy L. Cann, 34, of Parma, Ohio, was charged at 10:10 p.m. on Saturday with second-degree harassment. Officers responded to Waldemere Way for a report of a fight. Upon arrival it was determined that Cann allegedly punched a female in the face, causing swelling and bruising to her eye. Cann was taken into custody and will be in Busti Court at a later date.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
BROCTON - Fredrick S. Brown, 28, of Portland was charged with second-degree harassment and endangering the welfare of a child. Deputies were dispatched to a report of a physical altercation on Central Avenue. It was discovered that Brown was the aggressor and was taken into custody. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
BEMUS POINT - Kasey S. Sweeney, 21, of Jamestown was charged at 11 p.m. on Friday with disorderly conduct and petit larceny. Deputies were dispatched for a report of a fight at a business in downtown Bemus Point. Sweeney allegedly stole a waitress' apron, containing money and personal items. When confronted by staff, Sweeney allegedly became physical and used obscene language. He was taken into custody, arraigned and remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail.
BEMUS POINT - Brian W. Kinney, 35, of Westfield was charged at 1:50 a.m. on Saturday with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater, failure to signal and unsafe turn. Deputies observed a vehicle fail to sign a turn. Kinney was later found to be intoxicated and was issued citations to appear in Ellery Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
Frank J. Capizzi, 38, was charged at 10 p.m. on Friday with second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Police were investigating a fight on Falconer Street when Capizzi allegedly fled on foot and was told to stop numerous times. He was later taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. He was awaiting arraignment.
Richard W. Michael, 29, was charged at 4:30 a.m. on Friday with improper right turn, refusal to take breath test and driving while intoxicated. A vehicle was observed making an improper right turn. Michael was found to be the driver and later determined to be intoxicated. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and will be arraigned in Jamestown City Court.
Justin Aiken, 33, was charged at 2:24 a.m. on Saturday with failure to keep right, driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or greater. Officers observed a vehicle failing to keep right and pulled the vehicle over. Aiken was found to be the driver and determined to be intoxicated. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and was held pending arraignment.
