The Jamestown Tigers dropped a 5-4 decision to the Jamestown Raiders on Friday afternoon during the opening day of the Southern Tier Strikeout Tournament at Diethrick Park.
Starting pitcher Jake Sisson (three innings pitched), along with relievers Mike Larson and Tage Johnson, held the Tigers to just four hits while fanning a combined nine batters in the victory.
Cameron Rizzo-Walker (double), Jacob Quattrone and Zack Panebianco (double) provided the offense for the victors.
The Raiders are back in action today at the Martin Road Complex for a battle with the North East Rebels (Ashtabula, Ohio) at 1 p.m., and then again at 8:30 p.m. against Mercyhurst Prep (Erie), this time under the lights at Diethrick Park.
The Tigers, meanwhile, who got a pair of hits apiece from Koby Carder (double) and Chris Haase, are slated for a 4 p.m. contest with the North East Rebels at Diethrick Park and then a 6:15 p.m. game with the Eastside Bruisers (Ohio).
Following Saturday's games, consolation games will be held on Sunday at Martin Road at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., with the playoff and championship bouts to be held at Diethrick Park at 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

On Wednesday, in the Buffalo PAL League, the Tigers blanked Iroquois, 11-0, in five innings.
Robbie Burgess earned the victory, which was called early due to the 10-run rule, by scattering two hits with six strikeouts over five innings.
Burgess, along with Carder, Haase (double, triple) and Michael Mammoser (two-run home run) collected two hits for the winners.
Bryce Raymond, meanwhile, chipped in with three hits, including a double and a home run, with a whopping five RBIs.
The Tigers next PAL League game is at Delaware Park at 12:30 p.m. on Monday.
