The Post-Journal

Three skaters from the Jamestown Skating Club will be competing this weekend at United States Figure Skating's National Showcase, a competition in theatrical skating at Hyannis, Mass. From left are Morgan Johnson and Mikayla Johnson from Lakewood, and coach Emma Francoeur from Erie, a former Ice Capades performer. They will be skating in the categories of Dramatic Entertainment, Extemporaneous Improvisation and Light Entertainment. The Johnson sisters will also compete in the Intermediate Duet Division. To qualify for National Showcase, they had to place in a showcase event in an USFS-sanctioned competition during the past year.
