Two individuals were taken by ambulance following a single-car accident late Monday night.
At approximately 10:30 p.m., it was reported that a rollover had occurred near the intersection of Fairmount Avenue and Hallock Street.
According to Jamestown Police Department Sgt. Scott Franzen, the red Chevrolet sedan entered the city of Jamestown at a high rate of speed before leaving the road, striking a tree and coming to rest near the intersection of Fairmount Avenue and Meadow Lane.
"We've heard a mention of possible racing, so we'll be looking into that further," Franzen said.
One of the two males that was taken from the scene by ambulance was transported by helicopter afterwards. At this time it is unknown which hospital the subject was taken to.
Charges related to the accident are pending.
