The Tanglewood Group has recently completed another structure on their Fairmount Avenue campus to enhance the lives of their community. The new Fishing Dock/Stage is located on the ponds in the Louis Ferreri Memorial Park.
The structure, which was built by Frame of Mind Timberwerks of Bemus Point, was finished this spring and has been enjoyed by residents and families this summer for fishing in the parks fully stocked ponds. The dock was an enhancement to Tanglewood's annual fishing tournament. The contest, held earlier this summer, offered cash prizes for the biggest fish to participants in three categories - resident, family and staff.
The fishing platform has also been equipped with a sound system to offer outdoor entertainment. A stone seating area constructed by Marlinski Stonework and Landscaping of Lakewood has been added to the shoreline to give listeners a good vantage point.
The stage has been the location for Tanglewood's inaugural Summer Concert Series in the Park. This schedule of six concerts scheduled over the summer months, from June to August, has offered a variety of musical styles for the enjoyment of residents and their families.
The performers: The Band Anastazja, KoKoMo Time Band, Jamestown Municipal Band, John Latini & Ken Hardley, Elvis Lives Live Patrick Johnson and Stan & Jazz Friends, have been invited to provide entertainment for residents of the Tanglewood Manor and Memory Garden facilities and the Cottages on the Pond as well as clients of Comfort Today.
Nick Ferreri, owner and operator, said Tanglewood is always working to develop innovative offerings for residents to make their lives more active and interesting.
