SINCLAIRVILLE - A Sinclairville man was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail following an investigation into several break-ins around the village.
Jacob M. Raynor, 30, of Reed Street, was charged with second-degree burglary and fourth-degree possession of stolen property Thursday. He was later arraigned in the Town of Charlotte Court and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail with bail set at $20,000 cash or $40,000 property bond.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, investigators found that Raynor allegedly broke into a residence in the Sinclairville area and, while inside the home, he stole personal property including guns and jewelry. Investigators were able to recover multiple guns and a quantity of jewelry belonging to the victim.
Raynor had a run-in with police earlier this year in connection with an alleged TV theft, as well, after Kelsey A. Raynor, 26, also of Sinclairville, was taken into custody for allegedly entering a Foote Avenue residence and taking a 40-inch TV. The pair were brought in following an investigation by Jamestown and Ellicott police and tips received from the public.
