Charles A. Goulding Sr., 76, of Sinclairville, passed away Tuesday (July 23, 2013), at his home.
A lifelong area resident, he was born May 18, 1937, in the town of Ellington, the son of the late Arthur J. and Shirley Mead Goulding.
Charles attended Falconer High School, and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving from 1956 to 1957. He was employed by the village of Falconer, WCA Hospital and The Bon-Ton.

He looked forward to spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren on Sunday afternoons. Charles was an avid NASCAR fan and baseball fan. He also enjoyed mowing the lawn, shoveling snow and his dog, Thumper.
Surviving are his wife Edith C. Smith Goulding, whom he married Sept. 9, 1956, in Kennedy; four children: Charles A. Goulding Jr. of Sinclairville, Douglas W. Goulding of Jamestown, Carrie G. Edson of Jamestown, and Brian J. (Wendy) Goulding of Emporium, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters: Yvonne (Ronald) Brake of James-town, and Autumn (Tom) Hartson of Ellington.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Gail Goulding and Constance G. Spencer.
A private funeral service will be held in the Falconer Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald E. Ray will officiate. Burial will be in Hale Cemetery, Akeley, Pa. Visitation will not be observed.
