Youngsters too young to enter and show their own animals at the fair have a fun opportunity to show a hog. The Peewee event has become a highlight of the Chautauqua County Fair's Open Class Hog Show. Each participant receives a special ribbon and medallion for their showmanship efforts. All the Peewees have a little help from an older 4Her who is glad to show them a few skills. This year's event included 31 youngsters.
This year, Hunter Colvin, pictured with assistance from Lewis Smith, represented their families well. As Hunter’s dad, Ben Colvin looks on, the team maneuvered skillfully around the show ring and easily handled Ginger the hog. He showed everyone the medallion he was awarded and wants everyone to know that he had fun.
