FINDLEY LAKE - Nolan Ditcher hasn't cooled off in the slightest on the golf course this summer.
After a red-hot June - one that first saw the rising Randolph freshman earn a fifth-place finish at the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Golf Championships (that was the highest finish amongst Section 6 competitors) and then, as the tournament's youngest competitor, reach the semifinals of his flight in the 61st annual International Junior Masters - Ditcher turned in yet another outstanding performance on Tuesday at an ANAdeeds WNY PGA Junior Tour event on the Lower Course at Peek'n Peak Resort.
Ditcher, 15, fired a 1-under-par 70 at the event, which was tops in the Boys 13-15 Division and was also the second-best score overall behind Irving's Danny Weimer, who recorded a tour-low (thus far) 67 to win the Boys 16-18 competition.
Finishing three strokes off the lead for a second-place finish in Ditcher's age division was Jamestown's Dylan Glatz, while Randy Felber, from Clarence Center, was third with a 76.
Warren's Nathan Sandberg was second with a 72 in the Boys 16-18 Division while AJ Feldman, of Gowanda, was third with a 74.
