MAYVILLE - A Brocton man will serve two years in state prison with 10 years of post-release supervision after being convicated of first-degree sexual abuse.
Ismael Ortiz, 43, of 5772 Ellicott Road, Lot 11, was charged in December after police received a report of sexual abuse involving a 9-year-old girl in mid-November. An investigation involving county Child Protective Services, the District Attorney's office and the Child Advocacy Program led to a warrant and the subsequent charges.
Chautauqua County District Attorney David W. Foley also announced the following pleas and sentences in Chautauqua County Court:
Michael Mooney, 59, of 10468 Main St., North Collins, was sentenced to one year in jail, a three-year conditional discharge and 36 months ignition interlock device for felony DWI.
Sheltear L. Brown, 22, of 184 King St., Dunkirk, was sentenced to six months in jail and five years probation for third-degree robbery.
Josie Adams, 56, of 610 Washington St., lower, Dunkirk, was sentenced to five years probation, 60 months ignition interlock device, a $2,500 fine and one-year driver's license revocation for Felony Aggravated DWI.
Charles Faison, 49, of Jamestown, was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge, $1,000 fine, 12 months ignition interlock device and six months driver's license revocation for misdemeanor DWI.
Neftali Cintron, 50, of 31 Barrett Ave., Jamestown, was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge and restitution for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Luis DeJesus-Colon, 28, of 31 Barrett Ave., Jamestown, was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge and restitution for seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Jacob Soggs, 31, of 2794 Route 20, Silver Creek, was sentenced to 90 days in jail for two counts of SORA registry violation.
