Two 15-year-old Jamestown girls were transported to WCA Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash Monday afternoon.
City police and firefighters were dispatched at 12:46 p.m. for a personal injury accident involving a bicycle and a motor vehicle at the intersection of Burtch Street and Elam Avenue on the city's southside.
According to a police report, a Jamestown woman was driving westbound on Burtch Street when the two girls, one of whom was on the handlebars of the bicycle, collided with the vehicle.
Police said the bicycle failed to stop at a stop sign on Elam Avenue when it hit the driver's side door of the vehicle. Both girls were ejected, and later taken by Alstar Ambulance for minor injuries.
The driver of the car, who was not identified, was not injured.
No charges were expected to be filed.
