Brian Dwayne Shampoe, age 52, of Jamestown, N.Y., passed away at his brother's (Randy and Sonya's) residence on July 5, 2013, following a short battle with cancer. He was born in Corry, Pa., on Dec. 23, 1960, the son of Gordon and Carol Wallace Shampoe.
Brian was a 1979 graduate of Clymer Central School. He operated a pizza shop in Clymer, N.Y., for a number of years before being employed at Bush Industries, and most recently, the Jamestown Resource Center.
Brian loved cats and would help all that crossed his path. He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Indians and Browns. He appreciated music of any kind and knew all kinds of trivia.
Brian is survived by his brothers Randall (Sonya) Shampoe of Clymer; Larry (Sue) Shampoe of North East, Pa.; four nephews: Randall Jr. (Carrie) and Nicholas of Clymer, and Larry Jr. "Kirby" and Peter of North East; and one niece, Gerri Sue of North East.
In addition to his parents, Brian was preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Shampoe, in 1991.
Friends may pay tribute to Brian on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at 6 p.m. with an informal celebration of life to follow at 7 p.m. at the Clymer Historical Society, 358 Clymer-Corry Road, Clymer, N.Y.
